this band has taken both the swindon scene and the music industry by storm in the last twelve months, having first announced themselves with their mid-afternoon slot on last year's swindon shuffle, their brilliantly received saturday evening slot at last year's sugarhill festival, before selling out their ep launch at the 12bar last december - the first, and only, unsigned band to do so. having just agreed a management deal with wildlife entertainment (artic monkeys, travis, craig david and more), this next year promises to be a big one for the alfonz.

citing a wide range of influences - from radiohead to biffy clyro, jimmy eat world to the manic street preachers, metallica to the cure - durera always deliver a great set, upbeat and at times manic, but also musically intelligent. last year they opened the festival on the thursday evening, but their progress as a band in the last year has seen them make the huge leap to saturday night headliners, however since being confirmed they have announced that this will be their last ever show, so catch them while you can.

having just appeared on channel 4's hollyoaks show after being tipped by 4music as being one of the best upcoming live bands, this year also promises to be huge for the beatbullyz. over the last few years their energetic live show has seen them support artists such as midge ure, dj yoda, nate james, the metros, dj first rate, just jack and cuban brothers, playing austria's snowbombing festivals and rotterdam's heineken street parade, and shows at venues such as jazz cafe london and the clapham grand. this has just led to them signing a management deal with ricochet management (muse, the strokes, the kooks, razorlight and more). if you like singalong urban-soul with insanely catchy tracks, then make sure you catch them in such an intimate venue.
